Expert Bio
Ann began her career in travel with Eastern Airlines working in reservations in Chicago and then at the Milwaukee airport as a gate agent. During the years of raising a family, she worked part-time as a travel agent in Oak Park and River Forest, Illinois. Upon returning full-time, Ann worked with a tour company in Oak Brook, Illinois that specialized in travel to Iran and Iraq. The next 8 years found her in Naperville, Illinois serving as group coordinator and escort for a large bank-owned travel department. During this time, she also taught the travel course that was offered at College of Du Page. Relocating to Carmel, Indiana in '84, Ann was the cruise manager for 10 years at an established agency and, again, taught at a travel school in Indianapolis. She was elected President of Indiana Women in Travel. Ann met Sue Smith on a trip in Hawaii and, in retirement, joined up with Sue Smith Vacations part-time. Ann continues to serve long-time clients from many states. She has taken a real liking to sailing vessels and enjoys traveling among locals--whether it be by car in Ireland, renting a villa in the hills of Coral Bay on St. John or staying in the vineyards of Tuscany!
My Recent Trips
In recent past, Ann was able to rent a self-driven canal boat for 2 weeks in southern France. This was a new travel experience she'd do again in a heartbeat! She's off to Alaska at the end of May for the 4th time. Often asked what her favorite trip has been, Ann's answer is always "the next one"!
